We are a language agency that has introduced a new approach to teaching and learning foreign languages, disrupting the education market. An idea is born

13 March 2012: The idea of the language teaching method LanguageSitter is born. Deana writes down the name on a piece of paper and carries it with her until its founding.

Founding the agency

17 April 2013: Mart, Deana, and Martin found LanguageSitter in Mart's kitchen on Trubarjeva Ulica.

European recognition

1 August 2013: LanguageSitter and our innovative language teaching approach are selected as finalists for the European Language Recognition 2013.

Media visibility

15 October 2013: LanguageSitter first appears in the media when Finance newspaper nominates us for Best Entrepreneurial Idea 2013/2014.

On TEDx stage

12 January 2014: Deana delivers a TEDx Ajdovščina talk titled "(Ni)sem za jezike" (I am (not) for languages).

Founding LANGUAGESITTER D. O. O.

6 June 2014: Mart, Deana, and Dimitrij found LANGUAGESITTER D. O. O.

Creating Jezikovnik

12 April 2016: We jointly launch Jezikovnik, a platform bridging language industry companies and job seekers in language teaching, translation, interpretation, and proofreading.

Project 777 with Tin Vodopivec

Autumn of 2017: We successfully complete the highly creative linguistic project 777 with Tin Vodopivec. We coach him to perform a full stand-up comedy routine in French, Macedonian, German, and Polish.

Shifting to the virtual world

March 2020: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we transition all courses and education online, working closely with the LanguageSitter team to continually enhance our online teaching capabilities.
